Stop Sign at Boltonville Road and County A

Simply an ordinary sign at an ordinary intersection. Or is it? Word has it that this place is Haunted! Open your imagination and you can clearly see the blood pooling towards the bottom of the stop sign.

Here comes the sun (flower)

Thought I would share another flower from the market the other day. I am setting up a table for Saturday's market with a few prints for sale.

the significance of the moth is change

One step closer to a butterfly! Which if what I read is correct should be sometime around the 13th.

Monarch quest continues!

Another installment of our baby monarch. The little guy is eating a lot of milkweed now and I bought a plastic insect case to protect him from the cats. I'd say he has doubled in size from when I first saw him.

Hope you like butterflies

Monarch day 2, we went and picked up some fresh milkweed. This little guy is hungry! The white dot just under the Caterpillar is an egg.

Monarch in training

I don't know that I've ever even seen a monarch caterpillar. Now I'm raising 2 of my very own! WhoooHooo

Children of the Corn

I set out today to photograph some corn. I got the shot... but what a day. It's not like corn is all that hard to find. So we set out to see if we could find an old barn and maybe some rusty cars. Ended up getting charged by a pig in a parking lot. Too funny.

Farmers Market

The Garlic Man was so nice, I promised I'd blog his stand tonight. I'll post several more Market shots this week.

Such a delicate beauty. After all the rain I thought I'd pull out a bit of sunshine to share!

Well, It has to be said. This is the nicest garden I've ever seen. Extraordinary variety, bees, butterfly's. It's fantastic!

I never get bored of flowers

I really love the variety of flower offered up in my neighborhood walks.

Fishing in Sheboygan

North pier was a bit busy yesterday evening! The only thing out numbering the fishermen was the gnats!

Baby Robin fell out of his nest

Poochie points this poor little guy out to me on our walk. Nature sure can be cruel.

Poison Ivy

I've made it a long long time without being able to identify poison ivy. If you happen to visit Kohler-Andrae State park I highly suggest you stay on the marked paths!

Kettle Moraine State Forest

Went out exploring a bit today. The Kettle Moraine State Forest offers a very beautiful and peaceful drive. We stopped a couple places to walk in the woods. I'd recommend a liberal coating of mosquito spray as we were reminded of that old Off commercial... the one where the guy puts his arm in the box.. only there were more. Anyway we did find this little guy, he was nice enough to pose.

Texture in the Rain

This is a portion of a fence just down the street. I walk by it every day when I'm walking the dog. The texture in this is so nice. For me, this is how nature reminds us just who is in charge!

Flowers on a hot humid walk

Today's walk took us a bit further than usual. We walked down the beach down to North, there are several yards with really wonderful flower scape's. I'm giving you a couple examples, just cause they are nice.

4th of July Fireworks

It was a bit of a walk to see these at all. Go figure, you assume you will be able to see from the lakefront.... wrong. So we walked a bit further and found a decent vantage point. It was a good show!

4th of July Parade

Kracker Jacks Drumline! I have to say these guys were #1 in my book. Sure other groups were polite and said hello, one or two stopped to be sure to let me take the photo. Not Kracker Jacks! These guys spotted the camera and completely hammed it up. It was great!

Another "In Flight"

Few weeks back I discovered the William and Dorothy Weeks Memorial Skatepark. If you happen to catch it at the right time this young people are very entertaining!

Bee!

What a beautiful day in Sheboyan, sunny in the 70's, more or less perfect! Seems like we see less and less of these little guys. I donated a pint of blood to mosquito's to get this image. Bee in flight, not easy but so worth it!

Sheboygan!

I had a great day! Met a nice family and had some fun with a photo shoot. I took this a few weeks ago and really enjoy the Marquee.

Pretty in Pink

My neighbors create such a wealth of material for a photographer! Just today I noticed these rather nicely planted flowers. Were these here yesterday? They certainly were not quite this pretty.

Sheboygan Shoreline

When you live a couple blocks away from Lake Michigan and your a photographer, how long can it be until you start taking pictures of the shoreline, beaches, birds, and everything else connected? I actually was taking pictures of the lake before we moved here. It truly is beautiful, expect to see a few from me.

Doe a Deer a female deer!

Afternoon walk around the neighborhood. This Doe was on the road and was ok with us up to about 15 feet or so. A German Shepard bark pushed her into the wood a bit. Kinda happy with that cause this shot is better than the ones on the road. I know, I know... Deer they eat my garden.

A Summer Evening of Harmony, Music, and Bench Seating

How often to do you go out to listen to a coffee house folk band and the folk hits the dance floor. This mom, husband and 3 kids were joined by several couples and the crowed loved it. What a great way to spend a nice evening!

Ordinary things

I took this because one of the things I think we all need, is to find the beauty in ordinary things. How much do we pass by everyday without a second thought. How many people do we pass by?
